Chandigarh, July 23 – Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal while expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, Union Railway Minister, Sh Ashwini Vaishnav and Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, said that with the approval of the Karnal-Yamunanagar rail line, a long pending demand of the people of the district has been fulfilled. With the completion of this project, new avenues of progress will open for the entire state including Yamunanagar.
The Education Minister said that Yamunanagar is an industrial district and with the approval of the rail route, industry and trade will get greater momentum here. He said that this project worth Rs. 883 crores is the result of the tireless efforts of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal who has been in constant touch with the Central Government and the Union Railway Minister.
Sh. Kanwar Pal said that Yamunanagar was neglected during the tenure of the previous governments, but the present central and state governments have given special priority to the development of this district. He said that due to the efforts of the Chief Minister, the medical college in Yamunanagar has also been approved. The construction work of this college will start soon.
MLA, Sh. Ghanshyam Das Arora said that a new chapter has been added in the development of Yamunanagar with the approval of Karnal-Yamunanagar rail line project. After the construction of this railway line, the distance between Yamunanagar and Karnal will be reduced and there will be a direct route available to the businessmen, entrepreneurs and common citizens to go to Delhi. He said that this would further accelerate the development activities in Yamunanagar as well as in rural areas like Radaur, Ladwa and Indri.
