Chandigarh, May 16 – Haryana Government keeping in view the current situation due to ongoing covid pandemic has created a system through which psychologists will consistently support people who are facing stress and patients can consult them through the helpline of the Health Department.

Giving information in this regard, a Government spokesperson said that the Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal had directed the Health Department that it is necessary to relieve the stress due to Corona pandemic. The Chief Minister had said that in order to keep such patients healthy, counseling should be made available so that mental health related problems do not arise.

The spokesperson informed that the Health Department has added IVR-6 (Interactive Voice Response-6) to the State Covid helpline number-1075 and 855889311 from today. This helpline connects the affected person with a psychologist, who will address their issues and will provide productive solution.

The spokesperson said that at present, there are 12 Psychologists who are available in different time slots from 9AM to 6PM, seven days a week. These psychologists have also been given training on how to tackle calls related to mental distress.
