Sh. Vajpayee strengthened the country strategically with Pokhran test: Bandaru Dattatreya
Chandigarh, August 16 – On the third death anniversary of ‘Bharat Ratna’ former Prime Minister, Late Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal paid floral tributes to him today.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal attended the prayer meeting organised at the memorial ‘Sadaiv Atal’ at Raj Ghat in New Delhi and paid floral tributes to the Samadhi of former Prime Minister.
Also, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya paid floral tributes to Late Prime Minister in a programme organised at Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh. He said that Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a benign person who had no enemies. He described him as a real nationalist and a true patriot as well as an ideal statesman.
Governor said that Sh. Vajpayee has been instrumental in strengthening rural development, research and security in the country as well as increasing road connectivity at the village-level. The people of the country still remember the development works done during his tenure.
He said that Sh. Vajpayee worked to strengthen the country in the strategic field by conducting the Pokhran Nuclear Test. Under the leadership of Vajpayee, the soldiers of the country hoisted the victory flag in the Kargil War.
He appealed to the common people to take inspiration from the idealistic life of Sh. Vajpayee and work for the unity of the Nation by strengthening peace, harmony and brotherhood in the country along with the spirit of patriotism.
