Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij today preside over a meeting with officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at his residence. During the meeting, he instructed the NHAI officials to ensure that the proposed site for the Institute of Driving Training–Research and Automated Testing Station in Ambala is connected with GT Road.

It is noteworthy that the establishment of the Institute of Driving Training–Research and Automated Testing Station is proposed near Shahpur along GT Road in Ambala, and the land for this purpose has already been selected.

While discussing the matter with NHAI Ambala Project Director P.K. Sinha, Energy Minister Anil Vij emphasized that service lanes from both directions should be connected to GT Road to ensure smooth access. He also discussed various projects being carried out by NHAI in Ambala Cantonment. He instructed that the road leading from the Railway Colony underneath the service lane (ROB) being built alongside the GT Road flyover near Shastri Colony should be constructed as per the required standards. Other NHAI officials were also present on this occasion.

Public Grievances redressed, Officials Instructed

Energy Minister Anil Vij redressed to public grievances at his residence and issued necessary directions to the concerned officials. Residents from Satsang Vihar complained about water drainage issues, on which he immediately directed the Executive Officer of the Municipal Council to take action. Likewise, people from Mahesh Nagar requested a bus stop at village Khan Ahmadpur, to which the Minister instructed the GM of Roadways to act accordingly.

In another case, a landowner from village Mangalai alleged that some individuals had illegally opened a pathway through his land. Minister Vij instructed the police to take appropriate action. Several other complaints were also received, and necessary instructions were given to the respective officials for action. Officials from various departments were present on this occasion.
