Call for public cooperation in the making of Atma nirbhar MP
January 27
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan took the salute of the grand parade by hoisting the flag at Nehru Stadium in Indore on Republic Day. Congratulating the people of the state on Republic Day, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said in his message that we are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of freedom. Today is a wonderful and unforgettable confluence of Amrit Mahotsav and Republic Day. We have celebrated the 125th birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on 23rd January in the country. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has decided to celebrate Netaji’s birthday as Parakram Diwas. On the occasion of Republic Day, I bow and offer respect at the feet of Netaji.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the British had not offered independence to the country by keeping it in a silver plate. On one hand there was a non-violent movement under the leadership of Pujya Bapu ji, on the other hand the revolutionaries had coloured the holy soil of Mother India with the last drop of their blood. The country became independent due to their sacrifice, penance and contribution. The Chief Minister said that it sometimes hurts to say that after independence we were even taught the wrong history of independence. The country was told that India was given independence by Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru ji, Indira ji. I do not reject the contribution of Bapuji, Bapuji is Vishwabandhu. The revolutionary stream of freedom was forgotten, the memory of not one but many immortal martyr revolutionaries was not preserved.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that I want to thank Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Not only did he keep the true story of the immortal martyr revolutionaries in front of the country, but he has built many monuments in the country for their memory and inspiration. I am happy to say that a grand statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will be installed at India Gate. Even on the land of Madhya Pradesh, we have built memorials of revolutionaries like Maharani Laxmibai, Tatya Tope, Tantya Bhil, Raghunath Shah-Shankar Shah, Bhima Nayak, Rana Bakhtawar Singh, Kunwar Chain Singh, Raja Vibhut Singh and Badal Bhoi, and a humble effort has been made to repay the debt they owe to the nation. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also said these lines – “Shaheedon Ki Chitaon Par Lagenge Har Baras Mele, Watan Par Marne Walo Ka Yahi Baaki Nishaan Hoga.” (Every year fairs will be held on the pyres of martyrs, this will be the last mark of those who sacrificed their life for the country.)
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that I bow to Babasaheb Ambedkar and all the drafting committees that made the constitution. On the 125th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started celebrating 26 November as Constitution Day. This is a humble tribute at the feet of the framers of our Constitution.
