PHC Bharawas (Rewari) receives in-principle approval for upgradation to CHC

Chandigarh, 4 December 2025

Haryana Health Minister, Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that ensuring affordable, high-quality, and accessible healthcare services near the homes of citizens is the topmost priority of the state government. She emphasised that the government is continuously taking strong measures to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure across both rural and urban areas, so that people do not have to depend on distant hospitals for treatment.

The Health Minister informed that, moving forward with this objective, the state government has granted in-principle approval for the upgradation of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Bharawas in Rewari district into a Community Health Centre (CHC).  She said this is an important decision that will significantly enhance medical facilities in the region.

After the upgradation, the centre will be equipped with specialist doctors, advanced diagnostic services, emergency medical care, increased bed capacity, and modern medical equipment. Thousands of residents of Bharawas and neighbouring villages will greatly benefit from improved healthcare access, particularly women, children, and senior citizens, who will be able to receive timely medical assistance, she added.

Ms. Arti Singh Rao further said that the Haryana Government is committed to ensuring that every citizen of the state can access quality healthcare without financial or geographical barriers. She assured that the government will continue to take more important steps in the future to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure.
