CM interacts with healthcare sector representatives in the second session of the pre-Budget consultation meeting held in Faridabad

The series of pre-Budget consultation meetings for the State’s General Budget for the financial year 2026–27, being held under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, is continuing. As part of this, the Chief Minister on Friday held an interaction with representatives and officials of the healthcare sector during the second session of the meeting organized at Surajkund in Faridabad. Extending New Year greetings to the participants, he said the meeting is a strong platform to shape the future of the healthcare sector in the State. At the outset of the session, he paid tributes to Raja Nahar Singh on his martyrdom day.
Present at the meeting were Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Sh. Vipul Goel, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Sh. Rajesh Nagar, former Minister and Ballabgarh MLA Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Badkhal MLA Sh. Dhanesh Adlakha, NIT MLA Sh. Satish Fagna, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh. Rajesh Khullar, along with senior officers of the State Government.
Haryana will be the growth engine of the resolve for ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, who also holds the portfolio of Finance Minister, said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has taken a pledge to make India a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, and Haryana will serve as the growth engine in achieving this goal. He recalled that Union Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah had launched Haryana’s Vision Document 2047 in Panchkula last month. He said that suggestions from all sections have been taken for this year’s Budget, making it not merely a government Budget but a Budget of the people of the State.
Our goal is to ensure that benefits of healthcare schemes reach every person
The Chief Minister said that the healthcare sector has been accorded priority in the pre-Budget consultations this year. He emphasized that health is the foundation of the life of a common citizen. “Every citizen of Haryana is my family, and protecting the health of this family is my biggest responsibility,” he said. The Government is committed to ensuring that health-related schemes do not remain confined to files but are effectively implemented on the ground and their benefits reach the last person in queue.
Health infrastructure and services to be further strengthened
The Chief Minister said that only those policies are effective which view health not as a facility but as a right. With this approach, the health budget was increased by 8.7 percent last year. He said that the target this year is to take the health budget to a double-digit increase so as to further strengthen health infrastructure, human resources and services.
Rs 6,711 crore spent on healthcare in current financial year
The Chief Minister informed that out of the provisions made for the healthcare sector in the Budget 2025–26, an amount of Rs. 6,711.82 crore has already been spent. Fulfilling the promises made in the Sankalp Patra, free dialysis facilities are being provided in all district hospitals of the State. Modern facilities such as CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, blood analysers and digital X-ray have been made available in all district hospitals. He further said that private rooms have been arranged in district hospitals, day-care cancer centres are being established, and 50-bed critical care blocks are being constructed in all district hospitals and government medical colleges. In addition, all blood banks in the State are being modernized to ensure safe and timely blood supply during emergencies.
The Chief Minister said that ensuring the reach of healthcare services to the last person in queue is the true hallmark of good governance. He urged all participants to send further suggestions within the next 8–10 days through the AI chatbot. Representatives of the healthcare sector present at the meeting shared their suggestions for the upcoming Budget and held extensive discussions with officials on various provisions. The Chief Minister listened carefully to all suggestions and said that stakeholders whose suggestions are incorporated in the Budget 2026–27 will be invited to the Vidhan Sabha to hear the Budget speech.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Director General, Swarn Jayanti Haryana Institute of Fiscal Management Dr. Raj Nehru, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, Sh. Rajiv Jaitley, Mayor of Faridabad Smt. Praveen Joshi, and representatives from Max Healthcare, SSB Heart and Multi Speciality Hospital, Prem Hospital, Asian Hospital, Indian Medical Association, NIMA, Association of Indian Medical Industry, Indraprastha Apollo, Indian Dental Association and other institutions were present.
