He gave this information today in a meeting held through video conferencing with the officers of Faridabad district while reviewing the arrangements for COVID-19 patients to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Sanjeev Kaushal directed the concerned officials to make efforts towards contact tracing in the district. This Nodal Officer will keep a track of oxygen supply. They will inform about the shortage of oxygen in the hospitals. Besides this, they will coordinate with private and government hospitals. In case of oxygen shortage in the hospitals, the doctors can contact deputed nodal officers and get information regarding the oxygen supply in the respective hospitals, he added.

He said that these nodal officers will have to maintain oxygen supply for minimum three days in their district and will have to keep track regarding distribution of oxygen in the State. He said that nodal officers have to share this information with doctors and managers of Private and Government hospitals.

Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad, Garima Mittal said that there is no shortage of oxygen in Faridabad district and nodal officers have been appointed for private and government hospitals. Guidelines have also been issued for the requirement of oxygen and adequate arrangements have been made.

Sanjeev Kaushal said that in this regard, awareness should be made though social and print media platforms to overcome the panic like situation among the people.

Directing the district officers, Sh. Kaushal said that patients with stable health condition need not be admitted in hospitals. They should be encouraged to stay in Micro Containment Zones or to follow home isolation. The patients with stable health condition can take on-call doctor’s prescription while staying at home and for this doctors will be deputed on regular basis.  Doctors should maintain regular contact with such patients to give timely advice to the patients.

Regarding the requirement of doctors and paramedical staff, Kaushal said that the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts would be authorized for the aforesaid requirement. Deputy Commissioner can appoint doctors and paramedics at their level if required. He said that a committee of civil surgeons and doctors of private hospitals should be constituted which will decide the level of urgency for admitting the critical patients in different hospitals.  Apart from this, he directed to maintain regular contact with IMA doctors and keep sharing the information about their respective districts.

He directed the district officials to increase the testing in the district so as to diagnose the maximum Covid-19 patients without any delay. If such patients will be contained at the earliest stage, then it will be easy to prevent the spread of this infection. He directed the concerned officers to discuss the COVID-19 situation through videoconferencing with the local MLAs as their services can be availed to make the people aware.

He directed the concerned officers to pay attention towards cleanliness in the rural and urban areas of their district and get sanitization done on regular basis. In addition, RWA can also be contacted to help the home isolated patients to follow the SOPs and guidelines of Health Department.
