Chandigarh, June 5 – Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Sh. Rajeev Arora said in view of the continuous efforts being made to provide better health services to the people in the state under the National Health Mission, the Government of India has allocated Rs 1309.52 crore in the Record of Proceedings (ROP) for the financial year 2021-22 which shows an increase of 15 per cent in budget approval as compared to Rs 1139.78 crore approved in the financial year 2020-21.
While sharing this information, Sh. Rajeev Arora said that Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij has appreciated the efforts of National Health Mission, Haryana and strategic planning and implementation for providing best health services to the people in the state.
Sharing the information about the major approvals, the Additional Chief Secretary said that the major approvals are infrastructure strengthening of 771 new sub-centres into HWCs and the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Diploma Courses by National Board of Education (NBE) has been approved for district hospitals. Also, installation of solar panels for three Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) (UPHC Krishna Gamri, UPHC Chauma and UPHC Manesar), provision of anti-rabies vaccine/anti-rabies serum to the victims of animal bites and approval was granted for secondary / tertiary treatment of economically weaker section children (6-18 years) of Private schools under RBSK.
Sh. Rajeev Arora said that Antara Incentive Program to promote Intra Injectables in the State so as to reduce the unmet need. Approval of Legal Cell to resolve court cases, extension of E Rickshaw under Intensive Mission, Indradhanush (IMI) to increase vaccination coverage in the areas of District Ambala, Palwal and Mewat, Mobilizer Mitras (MM) for Nuh and Palwal, Special interventions for community mobilization and awareness generation to improve routine immunization coverage in Mewat and Palwal.
Sharing information in thie regard, Mission Director, NHM, Haryana Sh. Prabhjot Singh said that the new initiatives approved by the Government of India, include creation of 200 Sub Centres (SC), establishment of three MCH wings for Maternal and Child Health (MCH) wings (Faridabad, Sonipat and Palwal), Operational cost for 59 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) (47 new MMUs), Operational cost for 56 Advance Life Support (ALS) Ambulances, (27 new ALS Ambulances), Maternal support for improving the referral system of pregnant women in government health facilities, includes Janani Sahayak App for health scheme, referral linkage for pregnant women. He elaborated that Android based app ‘Janani Sahayak’ would be developed and implemented to improve the referral system in government health facilities.
Sh. Prabhjot Singh said that in addition to this, 46 additional specialist doctors, including 10 gynaecologists, 12 physicians, 6 paediatricians, 7 surgeons, 3 psychiatrists and 8 radiologists were approved under the District Hospital Strengthening Program. In addition, approval was given to establish 771 spokes for telemedicine in Hub and Spoke model under HWC-SC level and strengthening eSanjeevani OPD Programme. Also, NTEP-75 Truenaat Machines, 6 digital X-ray machines and Geo-tagging-software of vehicles and GPS tracking devices have been approved for procurement of bio-medical and other equipment.
