Chandigarh, August 10- Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that Panchayati Raj institutions like Gram Panchayat, Block Samiti and Zilla Parishad will be empowered and strengthened by assigning them with more powers. The State Government is going to make such a provision so that the villagers will be able to get the development work of their choice done in their village.
The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Development and Panchayats Department, said this while listening to the greviances of some panchayats at his official residence today. While resolving the problems of the villagers on the spot, he said that the villagers would now be able to directly give online demands/complaints and suggestions related to development works to the State Government through ‘Gram Darshan Portal’. He said that this portal has been prepared only to ensure direct participation of villagers in development works. He also said that on the basis of the suggestions given by the people of the village, a blueprint for future development plans would be prepared.
Sh. Dushyant Chautala informed that the priority of the State Government is to redress the grievances of the people. The complaints made by the villagers on the Gram Darshan portal will be linked with the CM window. The suggestions and demands given by him will be directly visible to Sarpanch/Panchayat Samiti member/Zilla Parishad member/MLA and MP.
Along with registering the suggestion/complaint on the portal, an ID will be generated which will be sent to the concerned applicant through SMS. Along with this, the applicant will get updated information about the action taken on the suggestion/complaint from time to time through SMS.
He also informed that for the convenience of the farmers, mapping of one acre of land would be done in the state so that the target of 100 percent land registration of the state could be achieved. This will benefit policies/schemes being made for the farmers in future.
He informed that a target of crop diversification has been set on two lakh acres of land this year under the ‘Mera Pani Meri Virasat’ scheme. He said that farmers can earn more profit at less cost by adopting new techniques for agriculture and by saving water by diversifying the crops.
