Survey work in progress on proposals from over 2,500 Gram Panchayats; Eligible beneficiaries to get plots soon- Krishna Lal Panwar

Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that the state government has received proposals from more than 2,500 Gram Panchayats seeking allotment of plots to poor and needy families. Based on these proposals, the government is carrying out survey work at a fast pace. As soon as the survey is completed, plots will be allotted to eligible beneficiaries at the earliest, helping poor families fulfil their dream of owning a house.
Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar was replying to a question on the last day of the Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the state government is continuously working to provide housing to the poor and needy in line with the vision of Housing for All. Under this ambitious scheme, plots of 100 square yards in villages, 50 square yards in large villages (mahagrams), and 30 square yards in urban areas will be provided.
Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban, from the year 2015-16 up to January 31, 2026, a total of 78,257 beneficiaries in the state have been benefited, including 24,590 beneficiaries from Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes. During this period, financial assistance of Rs. 586.20 crore has been distributed to these Scheduled Castes/Backward Classes beneficiaries under the Beneficiary-Led Construction and Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme components.
In addition, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin, from 2014-15 to January 2026, a total of 1,17,619 beneficiaries in the state have been benefited, including 63,687 beneficiaries from Scheduled Castes. Financial assistance of Rs. 369.05 crore has been provided to these beneficiaries for house construction.
