Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted a coconut sapling in the residence premises today. Coconut is considered auspicious in Indian culture. Hence it is used in prayer recitations and traditional rituals during auspicious works. Coconut is also a sign of good luck and prosperity.
Coconut is called ‘Shreephal’ in Sanskrit. Sri means Lakshmi. The coconut tree is also called ‘Kalpavriksha’ in Sanskrit. Coconut water contains a good amount of electrolytes, causing a feeling of freshness when tired or weak. Coconut also contains about 600 milligrams of potassium.
