Stresses on collaborative efforts by banks, mass outreach
KARGIL, AUGUST 07, 2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve chaired the District Consultative Committee (DCC)/District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Level Review Action Committee meeting for the quarter ending June, 2021 at TFC Conference Hall here today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Tsering Motup, District Lead Bank Manager Tsering Wangmo, DDM Kargil NABARD Apinder Singh, heads of line departments and representatives of different banks were present during the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner Kargil reviewed the performance of banks in implementing government schemes and loans during the period from January, 2021 to March, 2021 ( last quarter 2020-2021 ) and April, 2021 to June, 2021 (1st Quarter, 2021-2022) within Kargil District, and the credit linkage under various government schemes under priority sector lending as per ACP target 2021-2022 already circulated to banks.
Suggestions for better achievement and solutions for existing problems were also discussed in the meeting.
District Lead Bank Manager Kargil Tsering Wangmo informed the meeting that up to quarter ending June, 2021 banks operating in the district have achieved 16% by disbursing a total credit of Rs 58.36 crores under priority sector against Annual Credit Plan Target (ACP) of Rs 371.39 crores. She further informed that the overall achievement under priority and non-priority sectors by the all the banks in the district is 25%.
DC Santosh Sukhadeve directed all bankers to clear the pendency of various government sponsored schemes, and thereby increase the achievement percentage of annual credit plan of the district up to the end of the next quarter of the financial year 2021-2022.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed all banks and line departments to create awareness about the government sponsored schemes especially MUDRA, PMEGP, KCC, benefits of PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY thereby creating transparency to sponsor more loans to the public.
DC Kargil also reviewed the performance of RSETI, Kargil and instructed all line departments to sponsor more unemployed candidates for various training programmes.
