Dr. Banwari Lal directs that the benefits of the welfare schemes should reach upto the needy beneficiaries residing even in the remote villages of the state
Chandigarh, February 23: Haryana Welfare of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal has directed that the benefits of the welfare schemes should reach upto the needy beneficiaries residing even in the remote villages of the state. With these efforts, the objective of Antyodaya as envisioned by the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal could be realized, he added.
Banwari Lal was presiding over a review meeting with District Welfare Officers regarding various welfare schemes being run by Welfare of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Department here today.
He directed that the officers should visit atleast two villages in a month to create awareness about the welfare schemes of the State Government. He said that due to lack of awareness about the schemes, the beneficiaries are not able to take advantage of these schemes.
He directed to clear all the pending cases at the earliest so that the people can get timely benefits of the schemes. A serious note of the officials who are negligent in performing duty should be taken, he directed.
He directed to accompany the respective Sarpanches, Block Committee members, Zilla Parishad members during the visits to the villages to create awareness among the people. He said that officers should work diligently to fulfill the objective of providing benefits of the schemes to the beneficiaries.
During the meeting, officers were also directed to prepare and paste flex, pamphlets in their offices to disseminate information about the welfare schemes being run by the Government. He also informed to send these photos to the Headquarters.
In the meeting, Mukaya Mantri Viwah Shagun Yojana, Dr. Ambedkar Aawas Yojana, Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatata Yojana, Financial Assistance to Institutions/ Societies belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Backward Classes, Mukaya Mantri Samajik Samrasta Antarjatiya Vivah Shagun Yojana, Monetary Relief to Victims of Atrocities, Legal Assistance, Encouragement awards to Panchayats for their outstanding works etc. were reviewed.
