Haryana Government has issued a comprehensive Travel Advisory as the commuters may face traffic blockages on roads at entry points from Punjab into Haryana on November 25 and November 26, 2020 and on entry points from Haryana into Delhi on November 26 and November 27, 2020.

Sharing details in this regard, spokesperson of the Haryana Police said that in view of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ call given by various Farmer Organizations for November 26, 27, elaborate arrangements have been made by the Civil & Police Administration in Haryana, as per directions of the State Government to maintain proper law & order, traffic and security arrangements in the state. The primary objective of these arrangements is to maintain proper law & order to prevent any kind of violence, facilitate functioning of traffic and public transport systems and to ensure public peace & order. The instructions in force due to COVID-19 pandemic situation have also been kept in mind.

Elaborating on it, the spokesperson said that according to reports a large number of protestors are likely to enter Haryana from Punjab side through various border entry points, for onward journey towards Delhi. Apart from this the main focus points of the protestors originating from within Haryana shall be the four major National Highways leading towards Delhi, i.e. Ambala to Delhi, Hisar to Delhi, Rewari to Delhi and Palwal to Delhi. A specific call has been given by protesting organizations for congregation at Shambhu Border, district Ambala, Mundhal Chowk, district Bhiwani, Anaj Mandi, Gharaunda, district Karnal, Tikri Border, Bahadurgarh, district Jhajjar and Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Rai, district Sonipat.

The spokesperson said that to ensure appropriate law & order arrangement it is likely that the traffic diversion/road blocks by the police may be put into place on the following roads/points on November 25, 26 and 27, 2020.

There will be a diversion on various road entry points from Punjab into Haryana in the districts of Panchkula, Ambala, Kaithal, Jind, Fatehabad & Sirsa.

Four major National Highways leading towards Delhi, i.e. Ambala to Delhi, Hisar to Delhi, Rewari to Delhi and Palwal to Delhi will also have traffic diversions or road blocks. Specifically, at Shambhu Border, district Ambala, Mundhal Chowk, district Bhiwani, Anaj Mandi, Gharaunda, district Karnal, Tikri Border, Bahadurgarh, district Jhajjar and Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Rai, district Sonipat.

The spokesperson further added that all citizens are being informed about these arrangements in advance so that they are able to plan and modify their journey accordingly, to avoid any inconvenience. All districts have also been advised to issue local advisories in this regard.
