Haryana Governor Sh Bandaru Dattatraya has extended his warm greetings to the people of the state

Chandigarh, October 14, : Haryana Governor Sh Bandaru Dattatraya has extended his warm greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of holi festival of Dussehra and has urged them to celebrate the festival by following Covid-19 guidelines!

 

Sh Dattatraya said the festival of Dussehra symbolizes the victory of truth over falsehood, good over evil, religion over unrighteousness. The burning of effigy of Ravana not only indicates the victory of good over evil but also reinforces the need to eliminate social evils and create an atmosphere of fraternity and peace, said Sh Dattatraya.

The Governor said that Navratri is observed for nine days to imbibe the three qualities of ‘Tapas, Rajas and Satvik’ which are present in human nature and worship Shakti, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The worship during ‘Navratri’ helps us increase our inner strength and that of the country as well, he said.

Sh Dattatraya said the festival of ‘Vijaya Dashami’ is also the festival of worshipping weapons, which inspires all of us to become powerful and also gives the message that all of us together have to make a powerful and respectable India. An atmosphere of social harmony is also created during this festival. Love and mutual harmony strengthen society, he said.

 

The Governor said that during Navratri people offer prayer; perform ‘Havans,’ ‘Yagya’ as the worship of nature. Saving the environment by protecting nature is nothing less than protecting the country and human beings. Navratri has always given us this message, he said.

Sh Dattatraya said Lord Rama conquered Lanka thanks to the power of dignity by killing tyrannical Ravana. After conquering Lanka, Lord Shri Ram established an ideal state in India itself. According to idealistic thoughts of Shri Ram, the festival of Dussehra is celebrated to maintain the spirit of righteousness, human dignity, good governance and social order, he said.

The festival of Dussehra has an important place in Indian culture. We all should take a pledge to follow the path of truth, non-violence, great ideals and dignity shown by Lord Shri Rama. It will help us to enhance social harmony and build an ideal nation and society,” said Sh Dattatraya.
