Chandigarh, May 18 – Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the government has prepared 20-bed wards in all the medical colleges in the state to control the Black Fungus where specialists will treat patients suffering from the disease.
Sh. Vij said that all the District Medical Officers of the state have been directed to refer black fungus patient to the nearby medical college immediately for treatment. Medical colleges have all facilities and specialist doctors for treating black fungus. So far 115 cases of black fungus have been reported in the state. The Haryana Government has adequate medicines for the treatment of black fungus. Soon the Central Government is also importing the injections from abroad, out of which Haryana will get some injection.
The Health Minister said that strict action will be taken against the private hospitals in Haryana, from where complaints for charging COVID patients more than the prescribed fee. He said that some cases from Panchkula have come to his notice in this regard, strict action will be taken as soon as complaints are received.
Sh. Vij said that small shopkeepers, traders and daily labourers are facing difficulties due to the lockdown in the state. But the support they have given in the lockdown is commendable. This has led to a decrease in COVID-19 cases in the state. On the day the lockdown was announced in Haryana, 16000 cases were reported in the state but today the number has come down to 7500. He appealed to the people to extend their cooperation.
