The Haryana Government has decided to observe September 23 as ‘Haryana Veer and Shaheedi Diwas’ across the state. On this occasion, public gatherings, ceremonies, seminars, and other events will be organized in all districts to pay tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation.
Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi, in a letter addressed to all Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners, has directed that families of martyrs and recipients of gallantry awards in wars be honoured with mementos during the programme. Freedom fighters and Kargil War heroes should also be respectfully invited to the ceremonies.
