Manohar Lal directs officers to expedite the process of providing homes to eligible beneficiaries of Vimukt Ghumantu Jati
Chandigarh, December 18: Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal said that the State Government is determined towards the upliftment and overall development of all the sections of society. He directed the concerned officers to expedite the process of providing homes to eligible beneficiaries of Vimukt Ghumantu Jati under Housing for All Department.
The Chief Minister said this while presiding over a review meeting of the Vimukt Ghumantu Jati Vikas Board here today. During the meeting, Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal was present.
He directed the officers to set up a Dedicated Grievances Committee for Vimukt Ghumantu Jati in every district of the state as per the directions of the Centre Government. For the skill development of the students belonging to Vimukt Ghumantu Jati and make them employable, the Chief Minister directed the officers to make provisions to provide them skill education so that such students can also become entrepreneurs and the vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat can be realized in true sense.
He also urged the people of Vimukt Ghumantu Jatis to get themselves registered for Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) so that the State Government can provide them the benefits of government schemes.
The Chief Minister directed the officers to set up special Janata Darbars and Camps by the district administration in areas where the people of Vimukt Ghumantu Jati reside. Aadhaar cards should be issued to everyone from Vimukt Ghumantu Jati and registrations for Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) should also be done in these camps, he added.
It was decided in the meeting that representative of Vimukt Ghumantu Jati be included in existing District Grievances Redressal Committees. It was also decided in the meeting that 90 percent subsidy will be provided to the people of Vimukt Ghumantu Jati under Manohar Jyoti Yojana, applying for solar energy equipment and rooftop solar panels.
During the meeting, Chief Secretary, Vijai Vardhan, Additional Chief Secretary, Housing For All Department, T.C. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Woman and Child Department, Amit Jha, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Planning Departments, T.V.S.N. Prasad, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, V. Umashankar, Principal Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department, Sudhir Rajpal, Principal Secretary, Haryana, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department, Anand Mohan Sharan, Principal Secretary, Haryana, Skill Development & Industrial Training Development, Vineet Garg, Deputy Principal Secretaries to Chief Minister, Amit Kumar Agrawal, and Ashima Brar and other senior officers were present.
