Manohar Lal directs publishing a book containing information about historical and heritage monuments located in the state
Chandigarh, December 30: Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has directed to publish a book containing information about historical and heritage monuments located in the state so that every child can be made aware of the glorious history of Haryana.
The Chief Minister said this while presiding over a meeting held here regarding the state-level museum to be built in Panchkula.
He said that to make the information accessible to the children, the step of constructing a ‘Historical Memorial Corner’ (Heritage Corner) in every school will prove to be effective. While on one hand the details of the glorious history of the state will be written, on the other, there will also be information about historical monuments, in this memorial corner. Information about the major historical monuments of every district and archives of the Department of Archeology will be available in every school in the district.
Information related to important places of the state will be available in every school in the state. Initially, these corners will be built in 100 schools. Later these corners will be established in all schools of the state. In every school, the replicas of historical items will be maintained.
The Department is also working towards adding historical information in the school syllabus. Soon a chapter will be added in this regard in the school syllabus while training related to this will be given to history teachers so that they can pass on the knowledge to the students.
Haryana Archaeology & Museums Minister, Anoop Dhanak, Woman and Child Development Minister, Kamlesh Dhanda, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, DS Dhesi, Principal Secretary Haryana, Archives, Archaeology & Museums Departments, Ashok Khemka, Deputy Chief Secretary to Chief Minister, Ashima Brar, Director, Archaeology & Museums Department, Ms. Mandeep Kaur were also present.
