My Town My Pride ends at Baramulla

The conclusion of ambitious ‘My Town My Pride’ programme is marked with multifarious development activities and related events at Municipal Council Baramulla. ‘My Town My Pride’ has been launched by Jammu and Kashmir administration in urban areas on the pattern of recently successfully done ‘Back to Village’ campaign to reach out to the urban populace for their development related problems. Visiting Officer for MC Baramulla, Director General IMPARD, Zubair Ahmad, convened an interactive meeting with MC Councillors wherein the Councilors stressed  many grievances and demands regarding overall development of Baramulla town. The issues and demands which were included proper drainage system, macadimization of lanes, drinking water supply and other demands of vital public importance.
The visiting officer gave a heard to all the issues and demands raised by the public and made sure that the step shall be taken up with the concerned authorities for timely redressel. He also stressed the objective of the programme sating that it is aimed at to give hassle free public services in urban areas besides ensuring inclusive and sustainable development of towns. Earlier, the visiting officer in presence of District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo and other concerned officers distributed baby kits, certificates and other benefits of various welfare schemes among the identified beneficiaries. He also handed over keys of a house to the beneficiary under centrally sponsored PM Awas Yojana.
