Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Programme reviews

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given instructions to connect and benefit more and more people to the programme of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) to be organised in Bhopal on February 23. In a meeting at his residence, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan took information about the preparations for the programme to be held at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal. In the programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan will distribute benefits to more than one lakh beneficiaries and will have a virtual dialogue with the beneficiaries. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary and Commissioner Public Relations Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh along with concerned officers were present.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that more and more people and beneficiaries should be connected with the programme. MPs, MLAs and other public representatives should also join the programme. Through the programme, the celebration of Gaurav Diwas of villages and cities will also be discussed. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that all public representatives should be invited to the programme. Discussions on cleanliness will also be held in the programme.
In the programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan will transfer an installment of Rs. 250 crore to 26 thousand 500 housing beneficiaries with a single click. Along with this Grih Pravesh of beneficiaries in 50 thousand new houses and virtual bhoomi poojan of 30 thousand newly approved houses will also be done. Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh and Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing Shri OPS Bhadauria will also be present. The programme will also be telecast live on the YouTube channel of Doordarshan Madhya Pradesh and Public Relations. Along with this, the programme will also be broadcast on website – mp.gov.in/mp/cmevents.
A total of 8 lakh 68 thousand houses are sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in the state. So far the work of 4 lakh 72 thousand houses has been completed. The rest are in progress. Beneficiaries of one lakh 6 thousand 500 houses will be benefitted in the programme, the total cost of their houses is Rs 4100 crore. The estimated cost of the house is Rs. 3 lakh 85 thousand per house. In this, financial assistance of one and a half lakh rupees is given by the central government and one lakh rupees by the state government.
