Invitation extended for inauguration of National IRC Seminar; Discussion held on providing projects to Haryana

Chandigarh, 18 March 2026

Haryana Public Works (Buildings and Roads) and Public Health Engineering Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari, and held important discussions regarding the development of roads and infrastructure in the state.

The Public Health Engineering Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa formally invited the Union Minister to inaugurate the two-day National IRC (Indian Roads Congress) seminar being organised by the Haryana Government. The seminar will be held on March 27 and 28, 2026, in Chandigarh, and will see participation from road safety experts from across the country.

During the meeting, Cabinet Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa requested support from the Central Government for the expansion of national highways in Haryana, strengthening of the road network, and development of modern transport facilities. He said that in view of the rapid urbanization and industrial growth in the state, there is a need to further strengthen the infrastructure.

He said that the meeting with the Union Minister involved detailed discussions on roads and various highway projects in Haryana. He expressed confidence that the Central Government will extend full support in taking these projects forward.

He also requested the Central Government to provide special grants to expedite ongoing and proposed projects in the state so that development works can be completed within the stipulated time frame.

Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said that under the leadership of Union Minister, Sh. Nitin Gadkari, the country has witnessed significant progress in the field of road infrastructure, along with several effective initiatives for road safety. He expressed confidence that with coordination between the Central and State Governments, development works in Haryana will gain new momentum and the state will benefit greatly.
