Citizens must hoist the tricolor at their homes in honour of the country- Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal
Chandigarh, July 7– Under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign launched by the Central Government under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav being celebrated across the country to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence, every household in Haryana will celebrate the country’s freedom by hoisting the tricolour from August 11 to 17, 2022. The state government has started efforts to make this campaign a mass campaign. In this regard, Chief Secretary Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal held a meeting with the Administrative Secretaries of the concerned departments, Deputy Commissioners and Registrar of Universities through video conferencing and gave necessary directions to them.
Tricolor is the pride of every Indian – Chief Secretary
The Chief Secretary said that this is a national festival and all the citizens of the country are fortunate that they are getting the auspicious opportunity to hoist the tricolor at their homes. The tricolor is the pride of every Indian, with this spirit, the people of Haryana will make Haryana number one in the country by hoisting the tricolor under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in the honour of the country.
Sh. Kaushal directed the Deputy Commissioners to hold meetings with all political parties, public representatives, Zilla Parishads etc. to ensure public participation in this campaign. Also, we will ensure the supply of tricolor in every district. Apart from this, the tricolor should be hoisted in the government buildings where the tricolor is not being hoisted. He said that during this entire campaign it is the utmost duty of everyone to respect the tricolor.
He said that this important campaign has been started to promote patriotism and to salute our passion for the country. Therefore, all government officials and employees must also hoist the tricolor at their homes, institutions and establishments.
India’s pride tricolor
In the meeting, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal laid the outline of this campaign. He said that the tricolor is the pride of India. Therefore, with joint efforts, we have to make this campaign successful and instill the feeling of patriotism among the citizens.
He informed that the Development and Panchayat Department has been made the nodal department for the availability and distribution of the tricolor for rural areas. Tricolors will be made available at Post Office, Panchayat Ghar, Common Service Centres, Anganwadi Centres etc. The help of self-help groups will be taken in making the tricolor. Similarly, the Urban Local Bodies Department will be responsible for the availability and distribution of the tricolor in urban areas.
He said that information about this campaign would be given through pamphlets, banners etc. for public awareness at primary health centres and sub-centres in rural and urban areas. Apart from this, the availability of tricolor will also be ensured at fair price shops.
He said that special meetings would also be organized in schools and colleges to involve students in this campaign. Apart from this, a special tricolor march will be organized by the police, in which the participation of citizens will be ensured. Haryana Transport buses will be painted with the message of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’. Wall painting will be done in public places.

Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, Transport Department, Sh. Navdeep Singh Virk, Director General, Industries and Commerce, Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Secretary, Personnel Department, Sh. Ashok Kumar Meena and Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav and other senior officers.
