Commission will take strict cognizance of unnecessary cancellation of applications made for service<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh, September 10<\/strong> \u2013 Now, cancelling applications of the people regarding various types of services without any reason is going to cost\u00a0dear as strict cognizance of such matters will be taken by the Right to Service Commission.<\/p>\n

The Chief Commissioner of the Commission, Sh. T.C.\u00a0 Gupta warned that the officials should change the habit of rejecting unnecessary applications.<\/p>\n

Sh. Gupta said this during a meeting of officers and dignitaries under the Right to Service Act in Sonipat today. He examined the reasons in detail by summoning those officers, who have large number of pending applications. These include Agriculture Department, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Housing Board, Town and Country Planning, Transport, HSIIDC, UHBVN, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare, Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran, Health Department, Social Justice and Empowerment, Urban Local Bodies etc.<\/p>\n

He said that the sole objective of the State Government and the Commission is that the common man should get full benefits of government services and schemes. He asked the officials to finish people’s work on time without any hassle while satisfying their requirements. He said that the Commission will take strict action if this is not implemented.\u00a0 He said that 546 services of 31 departments have been listed out of which 277 services are online.\u00a0 Rest of the services will also soon be digitized.\u00a0 People should not face any kind of problem in the delivery of these services. The people should get the benefit of these services within the stipulated time frame.\u00a0 The officer who violates this will be fined and if an officer is fined thrice, it can cost him his job.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Chief Commissioner said that in some services the first appellate officer is Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner and SDM, who have the power to impose fine on their own.\u00a0 But in certain cases they can also be fined by the Commission.\u00a0 He said that from January 1, 2022, the notified services would be expanded so that maximum benefits could be provided to the people.<\/p>\n

The Chief Commissioner of the Right to Service Commission also took feedback from the citizens during this period and directed the officers to be committed to improve the ranking of the district.\u00a0 The district’s score in the ranking should not be less than 9.5 out of 10.\u00a0 Also, the feedback received from people regarding services must be 4 out of 5 in terms of score.\u00a0 He said that even though the score of the department is appropriate, but in case the department got less marks in the feedback, then it means that the people did not get the satisfactory benefit of the services.<\/p>\n

During this, many officers of the district administration including Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Lalit Siwach, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Jashandeep Singh Randhawa, Municipal Commissioner, Sh. Dharmender Singh and Secretary of the Right to Service Commission, Smt. Meenakshi Raj were present.<\/p>\n
