Chandigarh.16th September,2021<\/strong>:The Nutrition month has impacted the lives of people through awareness about Poshan from tip of the ice-berg to full-fledged knowledge attainment of the targeted beneficiaries. The Convergence of several departments and officials lead to awareness campaign and programs on the 16th Day of Maah.<\/p>\n

The key objective for today was to make awareness among beneficiaries, and it was achieved by performing various activities like Community Based Events on Balika Divas at Indira Colony 2 PM. A Poshan Train was also organized in Burail wherein the onlookers were made aware about the importance of nutrition, while entertaining them.<\/p>\n

At the at Anganwadi<\/a> building 2 near jamun chownk at 12.30 pm, a demonstration of recipes was conducted, using the idea of TAKE HOME RATION by Anganwadi workers. The beneficiaries of the event were made aware of the healthy ingredients utilized for making nutritious foods and then were provided with the ingredients to take home.<\/div>\n

At all 450 AWCs various activities were organized which were carried out throughout the city, such as a lecture on Awareness on Immunization; a lecture on importance of healthy and complimentary food; a Youth Group meeting on POSHAN Vatika; Height and Weight Measurement drive for children; Awareness about benefits of Yoga; Hand wash demonstration, awareness about Diarrhoea management; Lecture on Nutrition; Swachh bharat abhiyan: Clean surroundings and diarrhoea management; Counselling of parents of SAM children; Counselling of pregnant women for preparation of birth; and Demonstration on making ORS. Home visits were conducted by the workers of all 450 AWCs for proper dissemination of message among the community.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
