KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 26, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Shakar Chiktan Muhammad Sharief Kakpori distributed free educational tablets under YounTab scheme among 92 students of classes 9th, 10th and 11th at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Shargole here on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Chairman Block Development Council (BDC) Shargole Tsering Murup, Sarpanch Shargole Muhammad Hassan besides parents and students took part in the event.\"\"<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, the SDM Shakar Chiktan stressed that the facilities provided by the UT Administration must be utilized properly. He further appreciated the efforts of the students of the school in curricular and extra-curricular activities, and also felicitated two students of the school with traditional khataks for bagging first position in the Yoga Competition held by the\u00a0 Administration Ladakh and\u00a0Inter School Science Model Making Competition held recently by DIET Kargil.<\/p>\n

The SDM also urged students to do their best in their growing years so that they can contribute towards the society and the nation as responsible citizens. He also spoke about the importance of conducting regular career counselling sessions for students.<\/p>\n

Chairman BDC Shargole urged the students to make proper use of the tablets and asked parents to monitor their wards in close coordination with the teachers of the school so that they are provided an environment for holistic growth. He also spoke about various menaces like drug addiction that are making ground in the society gradually,\u00a0 and stressed that everyone should be conscious about such issues and sought cooperation of the parents, students and teachers to nip such menaces in the bud.<\/p>\n

The Chairman BDC Shargole also thanked the UT Administration Ladakh and the LAHDC Kargil for ensuring that the tablets reach the students in such crucial times.<\/p>\n

Principal GHSS Shargole Ishey Namgial stressed the need for close coordination between the parents and teachers for the overall and holistic growth of the students. He urged the students to make efficient use of the tablets.<\/p>\n

Sarpanch Shargole Mohd Hassan lauded the efforts of the school under the able leadership of the Principal Ishey Namgial. He urged parents to ensure that their wards attend the school regularly.<\/p>\n

During the event, demonstration about the usage of the educational tablets was given by the Nodal Officer, YounTab Educational Tablets Anwar Hussain Lecturer Computer Sciences GHSS Shargole.<\/p>\n

The event was conducted by\u00a0Physical Education Master GHSS Shargole\u00a0Muhammad Hussain Akhone while\u00a0Tamchos Gurmet Teacher GHSS Shargole delivered the\u00a0vote of thanks at the end.<\/p>\n
