The Defence<\/span> Research And Development Organisation<\/span>(DRDO) <\/span>has announced the launch of a new <\/span>vehicle which is been called a scramjet. It is believed that it travels faster than <\/span>any other jet ever. It is being said that it might open new dimensions for humans. <\/span><\/p>\n

What <\/span>E<\/span>xactly <\/span>I<\/span>s <\/span>A S<\/span>cramjet:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Scramjets are jet engines which are believed to work according to the principles of air. <\/span>It can handle large amounts of airflow at a time which enables it to move at a faster pace. <\/span>It is seen to be six times faster than the speed of sound. <\/span>The jet seemed to perform well on Monday <\/span>at velocity of Mach 6 for 20 seconds. Though it is a superior technology still it has several disadvantages like high cost of manufacturing. <\/span><\/p>\n

Test Performance:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The test was performed on Monday at 11.03 a.m. <\/span>in Odisha. <\/span>The Agni Missile was used to help the jet reach up in the air after which <\/span>jet took over the mission. <\/span>Several ways were used for surveillance of the jet including a ship in Bay Of Bengal, deployed specially for the cause. <\/span>A scientist went on to say that even though the test was of a short length, it provided us clue to work on multiple problems being faced in the development of the jet. The technology might not be as advanced as China but the scientist assured that with time they would achieve perfection in the indigenous Scramjet. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Technology Process:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The idea being used in the scramjet developed in India itself <\/span>involves<\/span> hypersonic technology<\/span>. <\/span>Our <\/span>Defence<\/span>Minister<\/span>, <\/span>Rajnath<\/span> Singh, tweeted about the success. <\/span>The DRDO started the development of the jet in 2010<\/span>. It was last tested in 2019. The arrangement of the material to withstand high amount of temperatures and air pressure <\/span>was possible with the help of several other departments and their contribution can not be ignored.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
