CHANDIGARH NOV 6 \u2013<\/strong> The Shiromani Akali Dal today asked the Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi to take a categorical cabinet decision \u00a0\u00a0to stop the deployment of the BSF in almost half the state. SAD also demanded a similar executive decision to stop the implementation of the three Black Farm Laws.<\/p>\n

The party\u2019s Core Committee which met here this evening \u00a0\u00a0demanded an executive order by the Punjab government directing its officers not to allow the implementation of the central decision in the state as these fall under the Sate subjects in the constitution of India.\u00a0 \u00a0\u201c The Congress government led by Charanjit Singh Channi is trying to befool the people of Punjab\u00a0 by offering a Vidhan Sabha resolution on these two issues while the fact is that his own govt is fully empowered to stop the implementation\u00a0 of central roders on issues which fall under the state govt\u2019s jurisdiction.\u00a0 Agriculture and law and order are state subjects.\u00a0 These are\u00a0 administrative matters and the Vidhan Sabha has nothing to do with these. It is for the executive to decide what its administrative machinery would allow or disallow \u00a0in the state. A Vidhan Sabha resolution is at best an expression of noble intent but the issue here is not of intent but of actual \u00a0\u201d said a resolution of the SAD Core Committee.
\n\u201cWhy are they coming to the Vidhan Sabha for a resolution.? Is the Vidhan Sabha stopping the Punjab government from passing executive orders to stop BSF and Farm Laws?\u00a0 CM Channi wants only optics and PR mileage.\u00a0 He should actually tell the people why he has not ordered his administration to stop BSF deployment and Farm Laws so far?\u201d said the resolution.<\/p>\n

Giving details of the Core Committee proceedings, Mr\u00a0 Harcharan bains, Principal Advisor to the President, SAD said that the SAD also slammed the decision of the Government of India to extend the provisions of the J and K anti terror Act to Punjab also, calling it a frontal assault on federalism.\u00a0 SAD asked the Congress government to come clean on its stand against the center\u2019s decision in this regard.<\/p>\n

Mr Bains said that the \u00a0Core Committee blasted both the CM Channi and the PPCC President Navjot Sidhu for \u00a0endorsing the elevation of Jagdish Tytler\u00a0\u00a0 in party echelons by the Cong High Command. \u201cThese Sipahis of Sonia and Rahul talk big on morality and ideals but are scared to open their open mouth when it comes to opposing\u00a0 the honors bestowed by the Cong High Command on \u00a0those deemed responsible for the massacre of thousands of innocent men, women and children of their own community by Congress goons in 1984. Come out of your compromise corners to save the collapse of your \u00a0character,\u201d SAD\u00a0 asked Mr Channi and\u00a0 Mr Sidhu.<\/p>\n

Another resolution strongly condemned the repression unleashed on the peacefully protesting SAD workers outside the CM\u2019s residence this morning. \u201c \u201cHe calls himself a democrat and this is what he dos to peaceful Punjabis coming to meet him to present a memorandum. The repression was launched and executed at his behest,\u201d said the Core Committee.<\/p>\n

The Core Committee also demanded a compensation of Rs 50,000 and Rs 15,000 per acre respectively to farmers and farm labour affected by the crop damage due to Pink Bollworm. \u201cThe compensation of Rs 12000 announced by the Channi govt is a cruel joke on farmers and farm labour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another resolution came down heavily against the closure of a large number of agricultural markets in Punjab, said Mr Bains<\/p>\n
