The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh organised a webinar on Academic Writing and Qualitative Research: Steps and Strategies. Dr Bhaskar Mukherjee, Professor, DLIS, Banaras Hindu University (U.P.) was the resource person.<\/p>\n

Professor Preeti Mahajan, Chairperson of the department welcomed the speaker and the participants. She also introduced the theme of the webinar.<\/p>\n

Prof. Mukherjee emphasised on steps of writing a research paper. He also talked about the impact factor, peer review process, plagiarism and visibility of academic publications to enhance the citations. At the end, he discussed the predatory journals and suggested some key points for selecting high quality journals for academic publications.<\/p>\n

The session was followed by a question and answer session and vote of thanks.<\/u><\/p>\n
