Appreciates\u00a0Haryana Police for leading in the country in CCTNS<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, while presiding over the second meeting of the State Level Committee constituted to implement the Inter-operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) in Haryana directed the officers concerned to explore the possibilities of developing a system with latest technologies under which the entire data of individual district recorded by the police is integrated under one roof, making it easily accessible.\u00a0 In the first phase, this system should be implemented on a pilot project basis in any one district, directed Sh. Kaushal.<\/p>\n

The Chief Secretary also lauded the officers and employees of Police Department for being at the first position in the country under Crime and Criminals Tracking Network Systems (CCTNS).<\/p>\n

In the meeting, Additional Director General of Police, Administration, who is also the State Nodal Officer,\u00a0ICJS, Sh. Arshinder Singh Chawla informed that the Inter-operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) has been made live from today onwards\u00a0to make the justice delivery system more expeditious and transparent in Haryana.\u00a0The data is being shared with all the five stakeholders namely Police, Courts, Prosecution, Forensics and Prisons.\u00a0 This will play a pivotal role in easing out the coordination among the five pillars of criminal justice and will also eliminate duplication of data, said\u00a0Sh. Arshinder Singh Chawla.<\/p>\n

He informed that Core Application Software (CAS) has already been integrated with ICJS.\u00a0 Data sharing between CAS and ICJS is being done successfully in the state.\u00a0 Login IDs have been provided up to the Police Station level to access the ICJS.\u00a0Training on the use of ICJS has been provided to two skilled officers from each district\/unit.\u00a0These officers are providing training to other officers in their respective districts\/units, added\u00a0Sh. Arshinder Singh Chawla.<\/p>\n

He further\u00a0informed that the software currently being used by the Prison Department has been integrated with ICJS.\u00a0 Further, in addition, migration from the existing software to the newly developed e-Prison software is also being done.\u00a0Similarly, TRAKEA software of FSL and data of Courts have also been integrated with ICJS.<\/p>\n

He informed that ICJS is a common platform for exchange of data and analytics across all the pillars of the Criminal Justice System, working for smooth flow of information between stakeholders such as Police, Forensics, Prosecution, Courts, Prisons, WCDs and Fingerprints, to achieve the national goal of One Data One Entry.<\/p>\n

Sh. Arshinder Singh informed that the Criminal Justice System has been created under the Crime and Criminals Tracking Network and Systems Project, which aims to enable a nationwide search on the database of police, prisons and courts in all States\/UTs in the country.<\/p>\n

He informed that the ICJS aims to work effectively to reduce the multiple data entry between different stakeholders of the Inter-operable Criminal Justice System and enhance the real-time information exchange between the stakeholders.<\/p>\n

He said that under ICJS, the database of all the pillars in Haryana has been synchronized through Web Application Programming Interface (API) to establish coordination between each system.<\/p>\n

In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Sh. Rajeev Arora, Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, Sh. Anil Malik, Director General of Police Sh. P.K.\u00a0 Agrawal and other senior officials also remained present.<\/p>\n
