Former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri ji was an epitome of humility, sincerity, simplicity and integrity of the highest order, who led his personal and public life by examples, said Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya today.<\/p>\n

Shri Dattatraya paid floral tributes to Late Shri Shastri ji on his death anniversary at Raj Bhavan.<\/p>\n

Remembering the great leader and our former PM, Shri Dattatraya said that Shastri ji was always full of positive energy and his words, in spite of his simplicity, used to have a mesmerizing impact on the people of not only our country but on the international front also.<\/p>\n

\u201cRising from a very humble background by virtue of his hard work, strong moral character and determination, Shri Shastri ji went on to become our PM. He was a true jewel. Although his school days were full of challenges and hardships, still he never gave up. He was a thorough nationalist,\u201d said Shri Dattatraya.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis slogan of \u2018Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan\u2019 during India\u2019s war with Pakistan in 1965 filled the entire nation with nationalist fervour and enthusiasm. He pioneered the prosperity of farmers, which led to the Green Revolution,\u201d said the Governor.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt a time when we are celebrating 75 years in the form of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, we need to spread the nationalist spirit and teachings of Shri Shastri ji among the masses to realize the dream of Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat,\u201d said Shri Dattatraya.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
