Manohar Lal said that along with humans,\u00a0flora and funa too\u00a0are an integral part of nature.\u00a0This earth belongs to all of us, he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister said this while speaking at the World Wetlands Day programme organized at Sultanpur National Park in Gurugram on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Sh. Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Sh. Ashwini Choubey, Haryana Forest and Education Minister, Sh.\u00a0Kanwar Pal also remained present on this occasion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister said that it is very necessary to maintain balance between\u00a0 both earth and water as wherever there are wetlands, birds from all over the country and the world migrate to such places.\u00a0 Thousands of birds migrate from\u00a0other countries and regions at Sultanpur and Bhindawas lakes in Haryana, said Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every year 50,000 birds of more than 100 species reach Sultanpur.\u00a0Similarly, 40,000\u00a0 birds of more than 80 species come to Bhindawas every year.\u00a0 More than 100 home species of birds are also found in Bhindawas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that many tourists come here to see these migratory birds. Plans are being made\u00a0for their stay.\u00a0 Recently, a home stay policy has been made for Tikkartal and on the same pattern home stay will also be started in the villages around these two lakes. With this, tourists will be able to experience Haryanvi culture and get glimpses of rural life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Take a pledge that we will not damage nature<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister\u00a0said that today is not just Wetlands Day, it is a day to take a pledge that we will not damage the\u00a0 nature.\u00a0Nature is such a subject, in which if the balance is maintained then our life will be healthy and we can imagine living a healthy and long life.\u00a0 Many times we try to\u00a0 damage\u00a0nature in the name of development, but today we are also thankful to those organisations, which play their role to save nature, said Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Haryana, only state in the country giving pension to trees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister said that in ancient times the tradition of worshipping animals, birds and trees have prevailed\u00a0 in the society. Today we regard Ganga and Tulsi as mother and worship Peepal tree. In Haryana,\u00a0\u00a0trees are considered as life giving force.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the crisis of oxygen came\u00a0during the Pandemic,\u00a0 Oxyvans were setup. Not only this, the present State Government is giving an annual pension of Rs. 2500\u00a0 to the family or institution taking care of\u00a0\u00a0trees that have completed 75 years.\u00a0 Haryana is the only state where pension for trees is being given.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>All the ponds of the state will be rejuvenated<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister said that for the rejuvenation of ponds in Haryana,\u00a0Haryana Pond and Waste Water Management Authority has been constituted. There are about 18,000 ponds in the state.\u00a0Earlier siltation took place in the ponds and the clay layer was removed.\u00a0 After this the overflowing of the ponds was stopped\u00a0 and recharging of water was done, but today there are 6000\u00a0 ponds in the state which overflow during the rains.\u00a0This year 1900 ponds will be cleaned by the\u00a0 Pond Authority, next year, the work of 2500 ponds will be carried out.\u00a0Thereby all\u00a0 the ponds of the state will be rejuvenated by removing the dirt from these ponds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Villages around\u00a0Sultanpur lake will be developed with the efforts of Chief Minister : Bhupender Yadav<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Sh. Bhupender Yadav, said that the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal visited Sultanpur Lake on his invitation. Sh. Manohar Lal has taken a pledge for eco development and eco tourism, this will definitely bring a change in the villages around Sultanpur Lake, said Sh. Bhupendra Yadav.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Union Minister said that forest\u00a0department has a record 49 lakes of the country in the Ramsar site, including Sultanpur and Bhindawas lakes of Haryana. In future, work will be done to get 75 lakes of the country registered in the Ramsar sites. We should try to beautify these lakes and save them, he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Minister said that his department is working at the grassroots level to ensure celebration of important\u00a0environment days. Climate change is a big challenge for us, that is why the Government of India has presented the Green Budget, he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The problem of waterlogging\u00a0in Najafgarh will be resolved soon : Bhupender Yadav<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sh. Bhupender Yadav said that\u00a0Sh.\u00a0Manohar Lal has apprised him about the problem of water logging in the Najafgarh region. The Chief Minister has suggested that a drain should be dug for proper water drainage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On his advice, the Environment Department has constituted a committee, which includes the Haryana government and the Delhi government.\u00a0 The committee will plan and execute\u00a0the same in next 6 months and soon the problem of water logging\u00a0in this area will be resolved.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Crores of species too have equal right on Mother earth like us: Ashwini Choubey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Union Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Sh. Ashwini Choubey said\u00a0\u00a0we alone do not have right on earth but crores of species also have equal right on mother earth. Thousands of birds from all over the country and abroad come to the wetlands. This benefits the environment as well as the people living there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wetlands are the kidneys of landscape.\u00a0 Here\u00a0not only water becomes useful, but also ensures livelihood of the people living\u00a0around it.\u00a0Till now there were 47 wetlands across the country, but now with the addition of Sultanpur and Bhindawas of Haryana, their number has now\u00a0increased to 49.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I am sincerely hopeful that Haryana Government will work for Eco Park, Eco Village at these places.\u00a0 Maintaining\u00a0 balance between nature and the environment is very important, he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Nature plays the most essential part in our life: Kanwarpal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Haryana Forest and Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that nature is of utmost importance in our lives, therefore it definitely has to be saved.\u00a0 Many times we feel that many things are not needed but everything created by God has it&#8217;s own importance, he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today Wetlands Day is being celebrated all over the world.\u00a0 Birds not only migrate\u00a0 from within the country but from all over the world to these wetlands which also absorbs carbon and are helpful in dealing with flood-like situations.\u00a0Many organisms are born here which are essential for the environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Giving an example, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that the white fly had attacked the cotton crop\u00a0 in the past.\u00a0 There was no effect of any chemical on this fly. The researcher believed\u00a0 that earlier this fly was eaten by a bird, but due to the use of chemicals in the fields this bird stopped visting the fields, due to which the outbreak of white fly increased. He said that every living being has it&#8217;s own importance in nature, we need to understand this.\u00a0 The coming generations should be made aware in this regard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chairman, Haryana Forest Corporation, Sh. Dharampal Gondar, MLA Tingaon, Sh. Rajesh Nagar, Pataudi MLA Sh. Satya Prakash Jarawta, Additional Chief Secretary,<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forests and Wildlife Department, Sh. S. N.
