Government to adopt pro-active approach for reaching out to 23,000 eligible pension beneficiaries who have never availed their due benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh, February 24:<\/strong> Haryana Government\u00a0 has decided to extend the benefits of Ayushman Bharat to all those families whose annual family income less than Rs. 1.80 lakh and to those who are not included in\u00a0Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) data.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing a Press Conference here today made this announcement. Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij also remained present on this occasion.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that the decision of extending the\u00a0benefits of Ayushmaan Bharat to\u00a0those having family income less than Rs.1.80 lakh and those who are not included in SECC data has been taken while upholding the spirit of Antyodaya.<\/p>\n

“The process of registration of all such families having verified income has been started. Three phases of income verification have already been done. Now the data of these verified families would be uploaded on the Ayushmaan Bharat portal so that they can get their cards,” informed Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that with the aim of reaching out to the last person in the pyramid first, Mukhya Mantri Parivar Antyodaya Utthan Yojana has been started by the State Government.<\/p>\n

“Under this special Antyodaya\u00a0 Melas were organised in which around\u00a0 90,000\u00a0 eligible families have\u00a0 filled the forms of which\u00a0 37512 applications for loan approval have been approved,” informed the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n

He said that the\u00a0 second phase of these Melas would start from March 2 to 17, in which around one lakh families would be called. Besides this, in the next year, the series of these Melas would continue.<\/p>\n

Government to adopt pro-active approach for reaching out to 23,000 eligible pension\u00a0 beneficiaries<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that as per the available data under Parivar Pehchan Patra there are around 23000 eligible old age pension beneficiaries who have never availed the benefits, due to any reason. Therefore now the state government has decided to\u00a0adopt pro-active approach for reaching out to these\u00a0 eligible pension beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

“The biggest benefit of implementing the Parivar Pehchan Patra is that all such eligible\u00a0 beneficiaries have been identified through this data and now every possible effort would be made to ensure\u00a0\u00a0disbursement of due benefits to them,” asserted Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n

Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Sh. Rajeev Arora, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Director General of Police, Sh. P. K. Agarwal, ADGP, CID, Sh. Alok Mittal and other officers remained present on this occasion.<\/p>\n
