Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, 957\u00a0 km long roads are being built, 1450 km roads were built in the last two years, Manohar Lal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh, March 9:<\/strong> Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari and Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, in a programme organized at Panchgaon Chowk on National Highway-48 in Gurugram district today, inagurated and laid the foundation stones of 19 NH projects worth Rs. 1407 crore to ease the traffic facilities between\u00a0 Delhi-Jaipur Highway.<\/p>\n

While presiding\u00a0 over the programme, the Chief Minister, expressed his gratitude to Sh. Gadkari for giving major highway projects to Haryana and said that 17 new national highway projects were sanctioned in the state during the tenure of the present\u00a0 government, out of which work on 11 highways is in progress and construction work of rest of the six projects would start soon.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister\u00a0said that Sh. Gadkari has given three big projects to Haryana which include Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Delhi-Katra Expressway which will pass through Rohtak-Jind-Kaithal and projects from Ismailabad to Narnaul.<\/p>\n

He said that infrastructure sustains the pace of economic growth for a long time, hence the State Government has\u00a0 given utmost priority\u00a0 to infrastructure in the next financial year budget.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that a global city would be developed in Gurugram-Manesar in an about 1000 acres.\u00a0 For this, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation will take necessary steps. Sh. Manohar Lal also\u00a0 assured that the work of this global city\u00a0 will start this year.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that the road network is widely spread in Haryana and he is hopeful that Sh. Nitin Gadkari would extend all possible help to Haryana if there is any scope of change.<\/p>\n

While placing a demand before the Union Minister, the\u00a0 Chief Minister urged him to accord approval for the\u00a0 National Highway from Panipat to Dabwali and from Panipat to Siwani.\u00a0 Besides this, he also said that Haryana has the best roads in the entire\u00a0 country.<\/p>\n

Referring to the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna, the Chief Minister said that this scheme has been formulated with the vision of Sh. Gadkari and under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra\u00a0 Modi and guidance of Sh. Gadkari, roads having a length of 957 km\u00a0are being constructed in the rural areas of Haryana.\u00a0He said that in the last two years, roads having a length of\u00a0 1450 km were constructed under this scheme, which gave a boost to rural development.<\/p>\n

Referring to the NGT order to ban\u00a010-year-old diesel-run vehicles from plying on the roads in the NCR region, the Chief Minister said that tractors are exempted till 2022 and in the ongoing Haryana Vidhan Sabha session, the State Government will make such a law so that the tractors can\u00a0 get an exemption till\u00a0 2025.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Gadkari said that 16 structures\u00a0at a cost of Rs 513 crore\u00a0\u00a0would be built on the Delhi-Jaipur route having a length of 225 km and repair work\u00a0 of this route would be done with an amount of Rs 800 crore.<\/p>\n

He said that the condition of the service road along this highway would also be improved, the state governments should work jointly so as to remove\u00a0 the encroachment from the\u00a0 service road.<\/p>\n

Referring to the demands raised by Chief Minister , Deputy Chief Minister and Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh in the programme, the Union Minister gave a detailed information about the\u00a0 road construction works being carried out by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Haryana.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0 said that work is underway to construct three expressways of 608 kms in Haryana at a cost of Rs.36000 crores. About 130 km of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is covered in Haryana on which three\u00a0 flyovers will be constructed.<\/p>\n

Sh. Gadkari informed that the work of connecting Palwal-Aligarh road with Eastern Peripheral Road in backward areas of Haryana will start by June.\u00a0 He informed that 48 percent construction of bypass in Rewari has been completed.<\/p>\n

Earlier speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh thanked Sh. Gadkari for gifting road projects to South Haryana.<\/p>\n

Union Minister of State for Road, Transport and Highways General V.K Singh and Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Dushyant Chautala also addressed on the occasion. Rajasthan Chief Minister, Sh. Ashok Gehlot also attended\u00a0 the programme\u00a0 through video conferencing.<\/p>\n

MP Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, MP Ramcharan Bohra, Cooperative Minister, in Haryana Government, Dr. Banwari Lal, Minister of State for Military and Paramilitary Department Om Prakash Yadav, Pataudi MLA Satya Prakash Jrawta, former MLA Bimla Choudhary, Mayor Madhu Azad were present in the programme.\u00a0 Minister Bhajanlal Jatav and Rajendra Yadav joined online.<\/p>\n
