A provision of filling an appeal by owner within 90 days included in the bill- Manohar Lal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Opposition cannot pressurize the government to get their demands fulfilled, Chief Minister<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh, March 22:<\/strong> Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that 50 years ago people used to donate or gift their land to the government for developmental schemes. These donations and gifts were given with verbal consent,\u00a0nothing was given in writing, he added.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 “Today their generations go to court and claim that the donated or gifted land belongs to them and public utility properties built on these lands should be dismantled. Therefore giving relief from such litigations,\u00a0The Haryana Prohibition of Change of Public Utilities Bill, 2022 has been brought,” added Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Chief Minister said this while speaking in the House during the discussion on the said Bill, during the ongoing budget session of the Vidhan Sabha today.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0“Today whenever we take any land for a government project, we transfer that land in the name of the department in writing, to avoid any chance of\u00a0 litigation.\u00a0There is no such case today.\u00a0 All the land litigation cases are 20, 30 and 50 years old,”\u00a0 said\u00a0Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that however, a provision has been made in this bill that in such a case, an owner can file an appeal within 90 days.\u00a0But if someone does not make any claim for his land after\u00a020 years and then starts claiming the same after 20\u00a0 years, then it is not justified.\u00a0 That’s why we have brought this law so that such limitations do not arise, he added.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On the allegation of the opposition for not accepting their demands by the government, the Chief Minister made it very clear that it is the right of the opposition to raise their demands before the government and similarly, even the government also has the right to choose which demands have to be accepted and which are to be left.\u00a0 The Opposition cannot pressurize the government to fulfil its demands, said Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n
