Chief Minister addresses the State Credit Seminar organized by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh, March 29 <\/strong>– Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that banks should formulate new schemes keeping in mind the ideology of Antyodaya, so that needy persons can be benefitted and such persons become self-reliant.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Chief Minister was addressing the State Credit Seminar organized by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) on Tuesday.\u00a0 During this meeting, Agriculture Minister, Sh. Jai Prakash Dalal was also present.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that all banks should work on stand-up schemes so that farmers, labourers and new entrepreneurs can be made self-reliant. He emphasised that along with giving loans, banks should also spend money on survey, training, monitoring, capacity building at the grassroot level so that the person who takes loan from the bank can use it appropriately and can return it to the bank. Banks should also focus on reducing NPAs.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Chief Minister said that while giving loan to the poor person, instead of depending on the CIBIL score the banks should constitute a team per 100 persons for ensuring recovery and continuous monitoring. Their awareness on economic and financial aspects should also be enhanced so that they are successful after taking loan. At present, the government is concerned about every individual and every family.<\/p>\n

Support from rural banks<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Chief Minister said that Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Melas are being organized by the government.\u00a0 So far, two phases of these fairs have been completed.\u00a0 In this, loans are being made available to the persons having income less than Rs. 1 lakh.\u00a0 In future, the frequency of these fairs will be increased, if the banks working in rural areas extend complete cooperation. Also, then the income of people can also be increased by providing employment to most of the population. The government is also identifying the eligible beneficiaries through Parivar Pehchan Patra.<\/p>\n

Banks should implement schemes focused on farmers<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that banks should implement schemes focused on farmers. They should formulate loan schemes related to micro irrigation, water conservation and recharging borewells.\u00a0 The ground water level is depleting and the government is trying to protect it.\u00a0 In this episode, subsidy is also being given through many schemes. In such a situation, banks should come forward and introduce schemes focussed on it. Along with this, there is also a need to focus on schemes related to bio-fertilizer, natural farming, zero budget farming and organic farming to ensure quality in agricultural production.\u00a0 The Chief Minister said that to enhance the educational standards if any private school is keen on building schools on the lines of Sanskriti Model School and Playway School, then banks should work on formulating schemes to provide loans to them.<\/p>\n

Banks should work with enthusiasm<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana is an ideal and progressive state. Thus, the banks should work with enthusiasm to nurture it further.\u00a0 Banks should also play their role in social work through CSR trust.\u00a0 He said that NABARD had provided loans of Rs. 450 crore to the people of Haryana in the year 2014-15 under various schemes, which has now increased to Rs. 1400 crore. The target is to increase it up to 3 times in future.\u00a0 In the seminar, the Chief Minister released the State Focus Paper with credit potential of Rs 1,61,167.29 crore prepared by NABARD for the year 2022-23.\u00a0 Along with this he also released the Success Story Book.\u00a0 He felicitated HAREDA, Chaudhary Charan Singh Agricultural University, Sarva Haryana Gramin Bank, HARCO Bank of Mahendragarh and SBI by giving a citation for doing excellent work.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On this occasion Agriculture Minister, Sh. Jai Prakash Dalal, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, ACS Sh. TVSN Prasad also addressed the seminar.\u00a0 During this, ACS Dr. Sumita Misra, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. V. Umashankar, Chief Manager of NABARD Deepa. B. Guha and other senior officials of banks were also present.<\/p>\n
