Chandigarh, May 12 \u2013<\/strong> Khelo India Youth Games – 2021, which are going to be held in Haryana have started to garner huge interest in the masses.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Apart from\u00a0Haryana,\u00a0this upcoming sports festival has also become talk of town in other states as well.<\/p>\n

Graffiti walls and selfie points will be set-up across Haryana so as to ensure that both athletes and spectators coming to participate and witness this grand event take back unforgettable memories. Along with this,\u00a0maximum participation\u00a0will also be ensured by organising\u00a0 flash mobs in places like shopping\u00a0 malls etc.<\/p>\n

Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister,\u00a0 Haryana and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department,\u00a0Dr. Amit Agrawal,\u00a0while chairing\u00a0a meeting with various stakeholders and officials regarding the preparations for Khelo India Youth Games-2021 held\u00a0 here today said that all necessary\u00a0 arrangements should be ensured for both the athelets\u00a0and spectators in these games, so that no one faces any problem.<\/p>\n

People’s participation will be ensured by setting up\u00a0selfie points,\u00a0 marking graffiti walls and flash mobs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Amit Agrawal said that the State Government is leaving no stone unturned\u00a0 to make this grand event memorable for both the participants and the audience. For this,\u00a0 \u00a0special Rahgiri programmes are being organized in all the districts to promote\u00a0 Khelo India Youth Games-2021 which are attracting people in large numbers.<\/p>\n

Besides this, a dedicated\u00a0 vehicle ‘Dhakad on Wheels’ carrying a torch and a mascot is also touring the state.\u00a0Various\u00a0 sports events will also be organized in the coming days, he added.<\/p>\n

He said that selfie points with mascots or other attractive symbols would be set-up\u00a0at the famous tourist places and sports complexes of the city, where these games would be held, so that the spectators could take back wonderful memories of the event.\u00a0 Apart from this, graffiti\u00a0 will also be marked on the walls of sports stadiums and schools and colleges in rural areas.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Graffiti is informative painting<\/strong><\/p>\n

Khelo India Youth Games – 2021 will be made more enjoyable through Graffiti Art.\u00a0Paintings will be made on the walls depicting varii aspects of sports,\u00a0 so that people will get information about these games.<\/p>\n

Flash Mob<\/strong><\/p>\n

Various activities will be organized through flashmobs in places like shopping\u00a0 malls etc. to promote these games and to connect people, especially youth with sports.\u00a0 Flash mobs are a group of people who gather in a public place and perform various activities for the purposes of entertainment and artistic expression.\u00a0 More and more people will be involved in these activities.<\/p>\n

Games to be held from June 4 to June 13, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2021’, is being jointly organized by the State Government and Sports Authority of India (SAI), Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports from June 4 to June 13, 2022. As many as 25 sports events will be organized in this grand event, including five traditional games like Gatka, Kalaripayattu, Thang-Ta, Malkhamb and Yogasana. These sports events will be organized at five venues namely Panchkula, Ambala, Shahabad, Chandigarh and Delhi. Over 8,000 athletes will participate in these games. Besides this, lakhs of spectators will witness this gala sports festival.<\/p>\n

Director, Sports Department Sh. Pankaj Nain, Additional Director (Admn), Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Smt. Varsha Khangwal, Joint Director (Admn), Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Sh. Aman Kumar and senior officers of\u00a0 Sports and Information, Public Relations and Language Departments also remained present on this occasion.<\/p>\n
