\u2018There are no boundaries to understanding music\u2019: Director<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Srinagar, June 01:<\/strong> The Art and Culture Club in collaboration with Students Activities and Sports Centre, National Institute of Technology, (NIT) Srinagar organized a cultural program \u2018Sham-e-Ghazal\u2019 in which valley\u2019s prominent singer Naseem-ul-Haq mesmerized the audience.<\/p>\n

Director NIT, Prof. (Dr) Rakesh Sehgal appreciated Dr. Nasir F. Butt for organizing such relieving events that rejuvenate the soul.<\/p>\n

\u201cGhazal is innately capable of the profound outpouring of emotions like no other musical form. Music is universal in that there are no boundaries to understanding music,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

While highlighting the importance of the relationship of music with academics, Prof. Sehgal said listening to good music fuels creativity and a creative mind has the ability to make discoveries and create new innovations.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Registrar NIT Prof. Syed Kaiser Bukhari appreciated the event and stated that such programs are the need of the hour.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a pleasant journey into the world of Ghazals. It touched the hearts and demands complete attention. In Kashmir listening to \u2018Ghazals\u2019 remained a favorite with all generations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The programme began with the welcome address by the Coordinator, Dr. Nasir Butt, after which singer Naseem ul Haq began his rendering of the melodious Ghazals.<\/p>\n

Prof. Sehgal, Director NIT Srinagar, Registrar Prof. Syed Kaisar Bukhari, and Dean R&C NIT Srinagar Prof. MF Wani along with the invited special guests felicitated the artists with mementos and tokens of appreciation.<\/p>\n

Special gifts were presented to the invited singer and his entire team.<\/p>\n

\u00a0A formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Nasir Butt. He also expressed his gratitude to Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Rakesh Sehgal, and Prof. Bukhari for supporting such cultural activities and providing the approval on short notice.<\/p>\n

He said the club will organize more such programs in the future also.<\/p>\n
