Chandigarh, June 3<\/strong> \u2013. No laxity in the security of sportspersons will be tolerated, he said.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0He said this while presiding over a review meeting regarding Khelo India Youth Games-2021, commencing form June 4 at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Sector-3 Panchkula today. Earlier, he also inspected the security arrangements in the sports stadium.<\/p>\n

Sportspersons should not face any inconvenience<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Home Minister said that in Khelo India Youth Games, about 8500 sportsperson from all over the country are participating in 25 sports events. Along with the deployment of women police, women health workers should also be deployed so that young sportspersons participating in games do not face any problem.<\/p>\n

Sportspersons and officials coming from other states should be aware of \u2018Dial 112\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said that hoardings of Dial 112 should also be installed around the stadium, so that sportspersons and officials coming from other states can contact Dial 112 if they face any kind of problem.<\/p>\n

Hosting Khelo India Youth Games is a matter of great pride for Haryana<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Home Minister said that sports events in Khelo India Youth Games are being organized in Panchkula, Chandigarh, Ambala, Shahabad and Delhi. He said that it is our responsibility to ensure security of all sportspersons and coaches coming from other states. It is a matter of great pride for Haryana that state has got this opportunity to host such a big sports event.<\/p>\n

Meeting with senior officials of police regarding Khelo India Youth Games<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sh. Vij was accompanied by Home Secretary, Sh. Rajeev Arora and Director General of Police. Sh P. K Agrawal, as he inspected the other security points including the main stage of the stadium and later, Sh. Vij also held a meeting with senior officials of the police at Dial 112 headquarters regarding Khelo India Youth Games. Security arrangements were also reviewed.<\/p>\n

ADGP, Sh. A. S Chawla, Police Commissioner, Panchkula, Dr. Hanif Qureshi and other senior police officers were also present in the meeting.<\/p>\n
