Unique initiative of the state in the direction of water supply management<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh June 13 –<\/strong> Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today launched the ‘Sujal’ initiative for the state from “Sant Kabir Kutir” here.\u00a0\u00a0This unique initiative of the state started in the direction of water supply management will prove to be a benchmark in the field of water conservation.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Sh. Manohar Lal while launching it as a pilot project for Panchkula said that ‘Sujal’ initiative is a unique initiative which is environment friendly and due to which we can save resources along with structured supply of water.\u00a0\u00a0You can also make financial savings.<\/p>\n

Congratulating the people of Panchkula for this initiative, he said that only because of such initiatives we can save the environment and save all the resources for the coming generations.\u00a0\u00a0After being successful in Panchkula, this initiative will be implemented across the state.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that a device will be installed in every drinking water meter, tube well and connection of Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) which will have online cloud storage.\u00a0\u00a0With the help of this, the water supply will be monitored and the flow of water will also be controlled.\u00a0\u00a0With this innovation, officers can sit in their office and watch the flow of waste water, stop it and save water.\u00a0\u00a0He said that with this technology it would be easy to measure the flow of water in every house and at every commercial site under HSVP.\u00a0\u00a0They will also know which connections and meters are inactive so that they can be turned off.\u00a0\u00a0All this information will be made available on a single dashboard so that all the concerned officials can keep an eye on the process.<\/p>\n

Chief Administrator, HSVP, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi apprised the Chief Minister that with this initiative, it has become easy to track and close illegal connections, and with the help of this the authority will also be able to collect fine from the citizens. HSVP has decided to make many more achievements on the strength of this initiative.\u00a0\u00a0In addition, the use of tertiary water in parks and green belts will increase from 14 MLD to 30 MLD in a single year.\u00a0\u00a0With the help of this device, 70 percent labour will be saved, due to which about Rs. 4.7 crore will be saved in a year.\u00a0\u00a0He was informed that the use of this technology will also save as much water as is currently being used in Panchkula.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The Chief Minister was informed that at present, Panchkula uses 162.5 million liters of water per day from different sources.\u00a0\u00a0With the use of this device, this figure will come down to 105 million liters per day in just one year. Along with all these advantages, this technology will also give us financial benefits.\u00a0\u00a0He said that in today’s time, 680 lakh liters of ground water is used and supplied in a day.\u00a0\u00a0This figure will come down to 5 MLD by Sujal-Pahal in a single year and this figure means that about 92 percent of ground water will be saved, due to which about Rs. 22.9 crore will be saved by HSVP.\u00a0\u00a0He said that electricity will also be saved up to 31 percent in a year and as a result, about Rs\u00a0\u00a012.99 crore will be saved in electricity bills.<\/p>\n
