The fellowship will allow\u00a0Dr. Tanzeer Kaur to pursue a collaborative research project to study the molecular mechanisms of\u00a0Parkinson\u2019s disease, with Prof. Allen Kaasik,\u00a0at the Institute of Biomedicine and Translational Medicine, University of Tartu, (Estonia). Dr. Tanzeer Kaur has been working in the field of neurodegeneration and she has handled various research grants funded by ICMR, SERB, and DST in the previous years. Her research focus\u00a0is to develop drugs and find novel\u00a0drug\u00a0targets for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson&#8217;s disease and Alzheimer&#8217;s disease.
