Under Manohar Lal’s dynamic leadership, Haryana to remain at the forefront in the country, Gadkari<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh, July 19<\/strong> – The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari along with the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today inaugurated three National Highway projects at a programme held at Gurugram.<\/p>\n

Referring to the infrastructural reforms brought about by the Chief Minister, Union Minister said that under the dynamic\u00a0 leadership of Sh. Manohar Lal, Haryana\u00a0 will certainly remain as a leading State in the entire\u00a0 country.<\/p>\n

The Union Minister was\u00a0 speaking as the Chief Guest at the inauguration programme\u00a0 of\u00a0 three National Highway projects held\u00a0 at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector-38, Gurugram today.<\/p>\n

During this, the Union Minister inaugurated three National Highway projects from Gurugram constructed at a cost of Rs 3450 crore, including elevated highway from Gurugram to Sohna, four lane road from Rewari to Ateli Mandi on NH-11 and four lane road from Kherdi Mor to Bhiwani bypass to Haluwaas village.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister,\u00a0 Sh. Gadkari said that National Highways are being constructed in Haryana at a cost of about Rs. 50,000\u00a0crore.\u00a0He also mentioned these projects and shared that about\u00a01015 km green field expressway and green field corridor are being constructed. My dream is to reach Gurugram from Nariman Point in 12.5 hours, said the Union Minister.<\/p>\n

Sh.\u00a0 Gadkari informed that the construction of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is going on at a fast pace and an amount of\u00a0about Rs One Lakh Crore is being spent on this and this expressway starts from Sohna in Gurugram district.\u00a0He said that this Sohna road would be made in such a way that there would be no traffic problem on it in future also.<\/p>\n

The Union Minister said that the programme to inaugurate the Gurugram – Sohna road was scheduled for July 11, but it had to be postponed because the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala had other engagements. But in view of the inconvenience of the passengers, movement of traffic on this\u00a0road was allowed.<\/p>\n

Sh. Gadkari said that whatever proposals come to him from the Chief Minister and other\u00a0 Ministers of Haryana, he accepts them.<\/p>\n

He further\u00a0 said that he is promoting e-vehicles to eliminate the use of petrol in vehicles in the next 5 years.<\/p>\n

Sh. Gadkari informed that the Central Government is planning to provide 50,000 e-buses.\u00a0 Haryana should also start e-bus on the same lines. This will only benefit because the cost of an e-bus is Rs.41.25 paise per kilometer.\u00a0If people move around in AC buses, the government will certainly get benefitted, he added. Besides this, it\u00a0 will also reduce the pollution caused by petrol and diesel, said the Union Minister.<\/p>\n

Sh. Gadkari asked\u00a0Sh. Manohar Lal that he should make the farmers of Haryana not ‘Anndatas’ but energy providers. Water coming out of the farmer’s tubewell will be used to generate green hydrogen, which is used as fuel in vehicles, he added<\/p>\n

The Union Minister also suggested that Sh. Manohar Lal should ask the farmers of the State not to burn stubble as fuel is made from stubble.<\/p>\n

The stubble will get a price of Rs 2,000 per tonne and will make bitumen, which NHAI is ready to buy, said the Union Minister.<\/p>\n

He also stressed the use of ethanol and said that instead of diesel and petrol pumps, ethanol pumps should be installed in Haryana and all vehicles should run on ethanol.\u00a0This will save half the money of the drivers and will also get relief from pollution, said the Union Minister.<\/p>\n

Sh.\u00a0Gadkari also mentioned about the Dwarka Expressway that 10,000\u00a0 crore rupees are being spent on this.\u00a0He said that on this expressway, two tunnels will be built from Shivmurthy towards the T3 terminal and Vasant Kunj, which will reduce the traffic of Gurugram.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sh. Gadkari said that works worth Rs 60,000\u00a0 crore are being done to make Delhi free from traffic jams and Haryana will get the maximum benefit from it.\u00a0 He also mentioned the Delhi-Katra Expressway.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh, while expressing his views, said that since the BJP government has been formed in the country and Haryana, several infrastructural reforms have been bought. Union Minister, Sh. Gadkari has been continuously engaged in infrastructure reforms since 2014, added Sh. Rao Inderjeet Singh.<\/p>\n

Sh. Rao Inderjit Singh also urged to reduce the restricted area of Ordnance Depot in Gurugram from 900 meters to 300 meters.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala also shared his suggestions to improve road network connectivity before the Union Minister.<\/p>\n

The programme was also addressed by Union Minister of State, General V. K Singh, MP,\u00a0 Sh. Dharambir.<\/p>\n

Cooperation Minister, Dr Banwari Lal, Sohna MLA, Sh. Sanjay Singh, Pataudi MLA, Sh.\u00a0 Satya Prakash Jrawta, Gurugram MLA, Sh. Sudhir Singla, Gurugram Mayor, Smt. Madhu Azad also remained present on this occasion.<\/p>\n
