Chief Secretary presides over Steering Committee meeting regarding\u00a0\u00a0preparations for recruitment rallies<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh, July 20 :\u2013<\/strong> The preparations for the Army Recruitment Rally for the year 2022-23 in Haryana have almost been completed and recruitment rallies will be organized in 4 districts soon.\u00a0\u00a0Under the Agneepath scheme of the Central Government, a Recruitment Rally will be organized in Hisar from August 11 to August 25, 2022.\u00a0\u00a0After that Recruitment Rallies will also be held in Ambala, Bhiwani and Rohtak.\u00a0\u00a0Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal chaired the Steering Committee meeting regarding the preparations for the year 2022-23 Army Recruitment Rally along with four Deputy Commissioners and other Officers through video conferencing here today.<\/p>\n

While directing the officers, the Chief Secretary said that nodal officers should be appointed in all the districts to conduct these recruitments smoothly.<\/p>\n

Accommodation should be arranged for officers and applicants during the recruitment.\u00a0\u00a0He said that the first Recruitment Rally is being organized in Hisar and so far 12,500 applicants have registered in Hisar.\u00a0\u00a0The last date to register is July 30, so it is possible that the number of applicants may increase.\u00a0\u00a0Therefore, during the recruitment rally, all the arrangements like toilets, drinking water arrangements etc. should be well-planned.\u00a0\u00a0Apart from this, compliance of the guidelines of Covid-19 should be ensured.<\/p>\n

He directed the police officers to arrange first aid kit, adequate quantity of necessary medicines, ambulance and fire fighting vehicles to avoid any untoward incident at the rally site.\u00a0\u00a0During recruitment, adequate police force should be deployed to control the crowd and conduct activities in a systematic manner.\u00a0\u00a0Also, patrolling should be done in the area around the place of recruitment.\u00a0\u00a0In view of security, a temporary control room should also be set up at the rally site.\u00a0\u00a0He also directed that proper arrangements should be made to ensure that there is no hindrance in the movement of normal traffic during recruitment.<\/p>\n

He said that in view of the possibility of rain during these recruitment rallies, there may be a problem of water logging, so water pumps should also be arranged for drainage.\u00a0\u00a0Apart from this, uninterrupted supply of electricity should also be ensured in coordination with the Power Department and arrangement of generator sets should also be made as per the requirement.<\/p>\n

Sh. Kaushal directed that wide publicity should be done for the youth to get maximum opportunities in these recruitment rallies.\u00a0\u00a0More attention should be given to colleges and other educational institutions.<\/p>\n

It was informed in the meeting that 1,739 candidates were recruited in the year 2017-18.\u00a0\u00a0Similarly, 1,149 were recruited in 2018-19 and 2,521 in 2019-20.\u00a0\u00a0This time recruitment rallies are being organized in these four districts, in which a large number of youth are expected to participate.\u00a0\u00a0It was informed in the meeting that for the convenience of the candidates during these recruitment rallies, special arrangements will be made for commuting from the railway station and bus stand to the rally venue.\u00a0\u00a0It was informed during the meeting that candidates can register for Ambala district from August 5.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Commissioners apprised the Chief Secretary that meetings have been held with the AROs and their duties and responsibilities have been assigned to the concerned departments regarding recruitment rallies.\u00a0\u00a0All the preparations will be completed within the stipulated time frame.<\/p>\n

In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department, Sh. VS Kundu, Zonal Recruiting Officer, Headquarter Recruiting Zone, Ambala, ADGP Law and Order Sh. Sandeep Khirwar, Director General, Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department, Sh. Vinay Singh and Information, Public Relations\u00a0\u00a0and Additional Director (Administration) of Language Department, Smt. Varsha Khangwal and other senior officers were present.<\/p>\n
