An awareness program on Education Assistance and Labour Welfare Schemes was organized by Labour Department Kargil in collaboration with Govt. Model Degree College Zanskar on Saturday under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Assistant Labour Commissioner Kargil Razia Khatoon was the guest speaker. She apprised the students of the organizational structure of Labour Department Kargil and their efforts to deliver various labour welfare schemes to all registered labourers in Kargil district.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She further mentioned various welfare schemes like education assistance, health assistance, labour security and shared information about labour code and labour laws.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The ALC further mentioned the data of registered labourers in Kargil district in general and in Zanskar Sub Division in particular.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
A question and answer session was also conducted and various queries and doubts were cleared. In the end, the ALC stressed how Labour Department Kargil, is working to meet the desired standards of labourers in the district.<\/div>\n

Prof. Shabani, Principal GMDC Zanskar delivered the vote of thanks. He further encouraged students to discuss these schemes with their parents and acquaintances so that information reaches deserving people and helps in social development.<\/div>\n

Moreover, he mentioned that the government works tirelessly for the welfare of each section of society but people are not aware about such schemes.<\/div>\n

He said that it is the prime responsibility to be aware of every government scheme that helps strengthen and develop society.<\/div>\n
