KARGIL, AUGUST 01, 2022:<\/strong> Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani on Sunday inspected the ongoing renovation\/restoration works at Duzin Photang Zanskar and reviewed the progress.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The ADC was informed by representatives of Zanskar Buddhist Association that the work of restoration\/renovation is in full swing and will be completed before the visit of His Holiness Dalai Lama to Zanskar.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The ADC directed the concerned departments to complete all the required works by or before August 05 positively.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Later, Executive Councilor Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs Er Punchok Tashi also joined him and directed ADC to take up various issues with Deputy Commissioner Kargil.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
These issues include deputation of SRTC buses, tents from Army and tarpaulins, mobile generator for emergency electricity, extra tankers etc.<\/div>\n

Incharge SDM Zanskar Talib Hussain, President Zanskar Buddhist Association, President Zanskar Gonpa Association, Block Development Officer, Exen R&B and Tourism Development Authority Zanskar, AEE and JEs were present during the inspection.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The concerned Exen and JEs assured the visitors that the works shall be completed one week before the proposed visit of HH Dalai Lama.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The ADC Kargil also directed the PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply to Photang in view of ongoing renovation\/restoration works.<\/div>\n
