Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today laid the foundation stone of Sirmauri Haat at Puruwala in Paonta Sahib Assembly constituency of Sirmaur district.\u00a0\u00a0This three storeyed Haat will have\u00a0all basic facilities to be constructed in 450 square meters area for which\u00a0rupees\u00a0one crore has been sanctioned.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that this Haat would be constructed on the lines of ‘She Haat’ set up in Sarahan of Sirmaur district. It will go a long way in strengthening the economy of the area besides providing a better platform to the local people, to showcase and sell their handicrafts and food cuisines\u00a0he said and added that members of the local Gram Panchayat and self-help groups of the surrounding areas would also get employment opportunities from this endeavour.\u00a0Traditional dishes of Sirmaur district would also be available in the Haat, which will provide the tourists an opportunity to better understand the rich lifestyle and traditions of the region. He\u00a0said that the state government was making untiring efforts to strengthen the rural economy.<\/p>\n

While interacting informally with media persons, the Chief Minister said that during his visit to Dubai, he had invited the investors to invest in power, tourism and green energy sectors in the state and also assured them of providing all possible assistance.\u00a0He said that the state government was making concerted efforts to encourage environment friendly investment\u00a0to ensure sustainable industrial development.\u00a0Investors from Dubai will visit Himachal in January next year, he added.<\/p>\n

Innovative initiatives are being taken with a positive approach to realize the vision of making the state self-reliant.\u00a0These efforts are being appreciated in the country as well as abroad, the Chief Minister said.<\/p>\n

Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi, MLAs Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Vinay Kumar, Ajay Solanki, former MLA Kirnesh Jung, Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khimta, Superintendent of Police Raman Kumar Meena, Congress State Spokesperson and Secretary, Rupendra Thakur, Congress State Secretary, Avneet Singh Lamba and\u00a0Dayal Pyari, Director Jogindra Bank, Asgar Ali, member BoD of Food and Civil Supplies Corporation, Naseema Begum, member BoD of State Cooperative Bank Bharat Bhushan Mohil, Congress Party Office Bearers, representatives of Panchayati Raj institutions and members of self-help groups were also present on the occasion amongst others.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
