Kargil, December 29:<\/div>\n

A joint initiative spearheaded by Won-Buddhism India and Hanuran Movement Korea supported by LAHDC, Kargil, marked the inauguration of the 3rd year of the transformative free winter tuition program.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Er Punchok Tashi, along with Councillor Shargole Mohd Javed and representatives from various organizations inaugurated the free winter tuition during a function at Spring Dales Public School, Mulbekh.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On the occasion, the dignitaries appreciated the collective efforts driving this initiative. Notably, this year the tuition is extended to 6 locations Wakha, Mulbekh, Karsha, Zangla, Fokar Foo and Hinasku.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Since its inception in 2021, this visionary project has aimed to provide free winter tuition to the remote villages of Kargil District.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Starting with 25 student , the program has expanded and it reach to 141 students across six villages, offering a bilingual education curriculum in Hindi and English.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
EC Tashi expressed gratitude to P Namgyal Ajita, President Won Buddhism India and other philanthropists of Hanuran Movement Korea for supporting this kind of educational movement in remote region of Himalaya.<\/div>\n

The EC lauded the passive solar building structure at Spring Dales Public School. Highlighting its ability to maintain comfortable temperatures in Pulses without conventional heating systems, he recommended adopting this model for future government schools and PHCs emphasizing sustainability and efficiency in infrastructure.<\/div>\n

Councilor Mohd Javed expressed gratitude for the educational movement within his constituency and appealed for its extension to additional villages. He also acknowledged the dedication of teachers who play a pivotal role in nurturing young minds in this program.<\/div>\n

EC Tashi on behalf of Won-Buddhism, underscored the program’s core mission of providing quality education to rural Ladakhi students during winter months without the need for distant and costly tuition centres, fostering a fun-based learning environment and ensuring essential school materials for all participants.<\/div>\n

The initiative stands as a beacon of hope, advocating not only for accessible education but also for sustainable infrastructure solutions in remote regions.<\/div>\n
