The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Ministry of Finance, and all organisations under it participated in mission-mode from 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0October to 31st<\/sup>\u00a0October, 2023 towards achieving the targets set under the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 3.0.<\/p>\n

Condemnation of 28 old cars by Kolkata Customs Preventive<\/em><\/p>\n

Over the last month, CBIC and its affiliated offices strived with a mission to institutionalise\u00a0Swachhata<\/em>\u00a0and minimise pendency in key areas of work. Special focus was on disposal of public grievances and better office space management by disposing of unused items including seized goods like narcotic substances and foreign-origin cigarettes.<\/p>\n

As part\u00a0of Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada<\/em>, CBIC officials took \u2018Swachhata<\/em>\u00a0Pledge\u2019 administered by Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, on 22nd<\/sup>\u00a0September, 2023, for a neat and clean India. He asked all senior officials to ensure achievement of targets of the campaign. With the collective effort of the entire organisation, a massive drive under Special Campaign 3. 0 was carried out in all regions of the country.<\/p>\n

The extensive efforts put in by all CBIC formations has resulted in the surpassing of all targets of the campaign as detailed below: –<\/p>\n

  • Review of 63,345 physical files and weeding out of 32,044 such files.<\/li>\n
  • Review of 34,029 e-files and closing 3,662 such files.<\/li>\n
  • 1,976 cleanliness campaign events organised in the office premise and public places.<\/li>\n

      Several best practices came to the fore which were highlighted on CBIC\u2019s social media platforms. During the campaign, more than 512 messages were posted on \u2018X\u2019 and other social media platforms through the official social media handle of CBIC and the field offices to spread the message of\u00a0Swachhata<\/em>. CBIC will continue to endeavour to institutionalise the norms set under Special Campaign 3.0 and continue such efforts throughout the year.<\/p>\n
