The Jury for the\u00a070th National Film Awards<\/strong>\u00a0announced the winners for the year 2022 today.<\/p>\n

Ahead of this announcement, Sh.. Rahul Rawail, Chairperson of the Feature Film Jury, Sh. Nila Madhab Panda, Chairperson of the Non-Feature Film Jury, and Sh. Gangadhar Mudalair, Chairperson of the Best Writing on Cinema Jury, along with the respective jury members presented the list of award winners of the 70th National Film Awards for the year 2022 to the Union Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting and Electronics and Information Technology Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw today. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan, Secretary,\u00a0<\/a>Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sh. Sanjay Jaju and Joint Secretary (Films), Ms. Vrunda Desai were also present at the occasion.<\/p>\n

The Jury comprised of eminent filmmakers and film personalities from across the Indian cine-world. The awards were announced by Sh. Rahul Rawail, Chairperson, Feature Films Jury, Dr. Nila Madhab Panda, Chairperson, Non-feature Films Jury, and Sh. Gangadhar Mudaliar, Best Writing on Cinema Jury in the presence of Ms. Vrunda Desai, Joint Secretary (Films), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.<\/p>\n

Best feature film<\/strong>\u00a0award has been given to\u00a0Aattam (The Play)<\/strong>\u00a0directed by\u00a0Anand Ekarshi<\/strong>\u00a0and the award for\u00a0Best Non-Feature Film<\/strong>\u00a0has been bagged by\u00a0Ayena (Mirror)<\/strong>\u00a0directed by\u00a0Siddhant Sarin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Award for\u00a0Best Book<\/strong>\u00a0on Cinema<\/strong>\u00a0has been given to\u00a0Kishore Kumar: The Ultimate Biography<\/strong>\u00a0authored by\u00a0Anirudha Bhattacharjee & Parthiv Dhar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Kantara\u00a0<\/strong>won the\u00a0Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Rishab Shetty<\/strong>\u00a0has been awarded the\u00a0Best Actor in Leading Role<\/strong>\u00a0for his performance in the movie\u00a0Kantara\u00a0<\/strong>whereas\u00a0Nithya Menen<\/strong>\u00a0bagged the award for\u00a0Best Actress in a Leading Role\u00a0<\/strong>for\u00a0Thiruchitrambalam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
